Breakfast, Wine Tasting, & Mustard, Oh My!
A Gourmet's Delight - Wisconsin Daytrip

Saturday, September 25, 2010

8:00 AM-5:30 PM

Celebrate Autumn with this fun and interesting itinerary for the "gourmet" in you. We begin with breakfast at Andrew's Restaurant in the quietly-elegant Delafield Hotel. You'll have your choice of Vegetarian Omelet, Baja Crab Cake Benedict, or Peach Ginger French Toast, muffins, coffee/tea. (Select one breakfast entree at registration)

Then it's on to Wollersheim Winery, listed in the National Register of Historical Places for its remarkable place in the history of wine-making in America. Enjoy the natural beauty of the vineyards with views of the Wisconsin River Valley as you tour the winery (some uphill walking), and a short video that explains its 150 year history. You will have a chance to taste several wines and browse the gift store before leaving.

A short drive to downtown Middleton takes us to Hubbard Avenue. Here you will find the delightful Mustard Museum with its gallery of mustards from 50 states and many countries. You'll learn more about mustard, sample a variety of mustards, and visit their gift shop of edible gifts. Hubbard Avenue Diner, known for its pies, is nearby.

The winery limits the group size to 25 persons max.
